moving fabric workspace from one region to another from P1 to F64

1) we had P1 subsrciption when we started working on Fabric which was in region - "North Central US"
lot of our work multiple workspaces are there in that region.
2) Since P1 has few limitations ( connection to azure blob storage, etc.) now we finally moved to F64 SKU but now this is region - "CentralUS"
So both regions are different.
3) If there is any PBI report you can directly change the workspace license setting and you can change to new region but if there is any data (lakehouse/warehouse) this process fails.

Question -
What is the best-known method to move everything from one workspace to another workspace both are in different regions?

Hi @sruthiramana

Currently Fabric has the limitation that Non Power BI Fabric items can't move between regions. Please read Moving data around section from Manage workspaces - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn This means that you can't move these Fabric items directly by switching the workspaces' license mode.

As changing the data region of an existing Fabric capacity directly isn't supported, you might need to create a new capacity in the same region (North Central US) as the original P1 capacity and then move your workspaces to this new capacity.

Otherwise, you could consider some alternative approaches, please refer to this thread: Workspace movement across Tenant - Microsoft Fabric Community

Jing
