Hi Guys,

I am new to this. Can somebody pls explain the guidelines to take data engineer fabric certification? Also I heard about one offer which was valid until end of Feb. Are there any upcoming free certifications?

I'll really appreciate any lead on this!

How to prepare:

1. Start on Microsoft Learn – Fabric training (free, self‑paced)
2. Complete the official DP‑700 learning paths
3. Do the practice assessment to gauge readiness
4. Get hands‑on practice in a Fabric trial workspace (Lakehouse + Pipelines + Spark)

There was a 100% free voucher offer for DP‑700 running until 28 February 2026. That specific offer is now closed.

Microsoft has not announced a new free DP‑700 offer yet. However, Microsoft regularly runs:

• Microsoft Learn Challenges
• Conference‑linked offers (Ignite, Build, FabCon)
• Virtual Training Days (often 50% off)

Best way to stay updated:

• Watch the Microsoft Fabric Blog monthly updates

The journey for the certification is simple:
1. You are starting learning the materials from Microsoft Learn related to this exam.
For example googling this "DP-600 microsoft learning" will give you the link like that:

2. Regarding the certificates. Let me do some pitch as a Utah's Fabric Group Co-lead. We still have one voucher for the new group members. Our official offer is the following: you are joining our group, commiting the participation in the following event, pinging me here and we give you the voucher. Just FYI: the timeline for redeeming these vouchers is till the end of the March, and timeline for the certification scheduling is till the end of April for DP-600 & DP-700.
