Hello everyone,
I wanted to share a quick tip in case you've encountered a similar issue.
After deleting a Lakehouse, you’ll notice that the Lakehouse itself and its associated endpoint are removed as expected. However, the semantic model may still remain in place – even after waiting for some time. It doesn't disappear automatically, and you won’t be able to remove it via the usual interface.
If you find yourself in this situation and have the required permissions, here's how you can manually delete the semantic model:
Go to Workspace settings
Navigate to System storage
Locate and delete the leftover semantic model
This helped me resolve the issue, so I hope it’s useful for others too!

Hi @ms_fabric_ora,
Thank you for sharing this valuable tip with the community!
You've highlighted a common issue that many users face: Even after deleting a Lakehouse, the associated semantic model doesn’t always get removed automatically, which can result in orphaned models cluttering the workspace and being unremovable through the standard interface.
Your solution, navigating to Workspace settings > System storage and manually deleting the leftover semantic model is an useful workaround.
We appreciate your effort in attending the forum and sharing this solution.
To ensure that others can easily find and benefit from your fix, I recommend marking this post as the "Accepted Answer". This will not only highlight the resolution but also make it more discoverable for future readers.
