Stop Dataflow from Refreshing/Recalculating while Developing

Is there anyway to stop a Dataflow from refreshing/recalculating while developing?

Even when in schema view and/or limiting the query to 1 row of data some times takes too long between writing lines of code.

Would be nice if there was a way to turn off refresh until save/validation or similar.

Hi @adamlob ,

Did you try preview-only steps feature of DataFlow Gen2. This will execute only authoring and exclude runtime refresh.

Here is the Microsoft link to use this feature.

Preview only step in Dataflow Gen2 - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn

Let me know if this works.

Thanks
