When I set up a visual query in the lakehouse sql-endpoint and choose "show sql", only the a select statement from the 1st table is shown. All applied steps are missing. consequently, also save as view doesn't make sense.
Any suggestions why teh SQL code is not showing? thanks
Solved! Go to Solution.
found it! You have to turn on "enable load" for each step first to use the 2 buttons "show sql" and "save as view"....

Hi @Artefact, you should be able to see the SQL for the applied steps if you click the button in the top right of the visual query window to bring up the power query window. Then select the step in the visual window you want to see the sql for, then right-click the relevant applied step on the right-hand side and select View Data Source Query
Hello Andy,
Thank for your post. Now I see that you can show the query if you select the last step in the visual query (you can also do that in the mail screen of the visual quey without opening a separate PQ window)
But still, I've seen demo's where you just click the button "Show SQL" in the menu bar for the same result. And the save as view button just makes it possible to automaticaly make a view. Now I have still to copy and paste the SQL and manually add the "save view as" code. But fo now I can use the other method. Thanks again.
