Querying Lakehouse Tables with Paused Fabric Capacity

Hi,

Can I query a table created in a Lakehouse when the Fabric capacity is paused, and if so, how could it be accessed by other applications while the capacity is off?

Thank You

Hi @Chandana_V ,

When paused, all transactions in that capacity are rejected, so no Fabric CUs are consumed, and you cannot access Lakehouse in the capacity.

1. Consider using another active capacity to read underlying file formats from the storage layer.

2. Synchronize data to other destinations before pausing capacity.

If you use OneLake shortcuts, you can connect to data across Fabric capacities, even a paused capacity:

You will need at least one active capacity to access OneLake data.
