Pass value from child to parent pipeline

Hi,

I am trying to pass value from child pipeline to parent pipeline in ADF fabric however its not working: -

Child pipeline: -

Parent pipeline: -

Tried to use String as well in Type in Set activity however its not accepting value as dynamic content.

Error message: -

Appreciate your assistance on it.

Could you please follow the below steps to resolve your issue.
Child PL:

Parent Pl: 

Please use the leagacy instead of preview invoke pipeline that resolve your issue.

I have replicated your scenario, and it works fine for me when the data type is set to "String".
After changing the data type to String, save the pipeline and rerun it.
