Issue with creating lakehouse under free trail of Fabric

Hi,

 

While creating lakehouse in Fabric free trail, it is throwing error saying like beow:

Any idea on this? And I guess, I can't raise support ticket also regarding this, as I am new to Azure & took only free trails.

Some info, how I faced this issue:

I took free trail of Azure. Created an user (entra ID) with fabric admin assignment. And registered for free fabric license with user. It is success, but couldn't progress further due to this issue. Hope, this is not the root cause here.

 

Appreciate any help regarding this.

Just wanted to conclude, you mean to say that we can't take new fabric free licenses. right? Also, as it is a free license I could not raise a service request also on this..

Is there any other way I can get it..?

Yes,we are from the Microsoft Support Team.

Here are the few limitations in Fabric Capacity.
Since you're using a free trial, verify if your tenant has exceeded the maximum number of free trial capacities.

  • Go to the Fabric Admin Portal > Capacity Settings and check if there's any capacity available.
  • If not, you may need to delete some existing workspaces or capacities to free up resources.

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies or switch to another browser (Chrome, Edge, etc.).

Please follow the steps outlined above and give it a try. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to us for further assistance.

I tried your solutions. As soon as I came to know it is not working. I removed my free trail & stopped using it.

Hi @pskumard @Fabric_nelson 

 

The problem might be because of :

 

Account age:Recent changes by Microsoft may prevent accounts less than 90 days old from creating Fabric free trials.

 

their is no official information regarding this but lot of people are facing this issues.

 

i have tried creating Fabric trial using my old Azure account (more than 7 years old) it worked for me.
