External trigger of a Pipeline and/or Notebook in Microsoft Fabric

Hello!

We have set up an environment for a customer where we ingest data into Fabric and present it to the customer in PowerBI.

We ingest data through pipelines with schedules.

But what if the customer wants to update their reports outside of the schedules? Is there a simple way to do this?

Let's say there was a button in PowerBI next to your report that you can insert into your pipeline as an Activity. When pressed, it triggers the pipeline.

Or a WebHook. To our knowledge the WebHook works the other way; the pipeline run can trigger a WebHook, not the other way around.

Regards,

Sigve

Hi @Anonymous ,

Currently it is not possible to run/trigger a pipeline in fabric from a REST API call/ external trigger as it is not available.
This feature to trigger using Rest API is still in development phase and will be live shortly.

Hence I request you to wait for the new feature release.
Thanks for understanding.
