Has anyone tried to access an Azure Function published on Azure through Data factory on Fabric ? The catch here is that the Azure function accesses a Azure Key vault through a GET method that serves as connection to a No SQL cosmos DB. The Azure function works perfectly well when executed out of Fabric.
I am completely stumped on this one.It errors out with a very non specific error message.
Hi @SachinNandanwar,
What type of capacity are you worked on? Fabric trial version or fabric capacity? AFAIK, the trial capacity seems not able to interact with payment environment product/features.

Hi @Anonymous , Its the same issue on both the versions.I deployed the Azure function as an API on Azure and called it through fabric and still facing the same issue with the exact same error message.
Infact I have granted the function app managed identity as key vault administrator to the key vault and also added function app managed identity as an administrator on CosmosDB but still no luck.
Hi @SachinNandanwar,
In fact, I create a template app to test with invoke the azure function from pipeline and it works well. Any specific operation or processing in your azure functions? Can you please share some more details about these?
Regards,
Xiaoxin Sheng
Hi @Anonymous ,
The issue is sorted. The reason for the failure was that in the deployment pipeline the App config settings were not getting properly copied over to Azure from Visual Studio,
Infact if you look at the error message that I posted it states that there is a configuration issue.
But I was more focussed on the Details part of the error instead of the failure type.
HI @SachinNandanwar,
I'm glad to hear you find the root causing and share the solution of this issue here. They should help others users who faced the similar type of issues.

Xiaoxin Sheng
