so i have a datetable with dates of everyday,
then i have 2 tables, revenue table with following:
Invoice Date | Paid Date | Total |
7/28/2022 | 8/3/2022 | 1000 |
7/31/2022 | 8/8/2022 | 1500 |
8/3/2022 | 8/8/2022 | 1000 |
8/4/2022 | 8/10/2022 | 1000 |
8/5/2022 | 8/12/2022 | 2000 |
and expense date with following:
Date | Amount |
8/1/2022 | 200 |
8/2/2022 | 100 |
8/3/2022 | 1500 |
8/4/2022 | 700 |
8/5/2022 | 200 |
i created a relationship between datetable and each table with the date one,
now the problem is i created a net profit measure of net profit = SUM(revenue[total]) - SUM(expenses[amount])
when i do a relationship beteen revenue invoice date and datetable, it gives me the correct calculation , but i need the relatiosnhip to be between paid date and datetable and when i do that the calculations are all wrong
so i want power bi to let me use paid date because if i dont, the total revenue of august will be 4000 instead of 6500
