Hello!
I want to make a Power BI with data from CRM D365 Sales.
As I have not been able to do it I have used Sales Analytics for Dynamics Sales 365 and from this semantic model I have been able to make a Dashboard, the problem is that I can not download it to Desktop and I can not create formulas or add other data from other sources.

I would need to add data from an excel and create averages and other measures.

Somebody can help me?

Hi @ElenaCarciLopez

In order to help you better, I need to check your needs with you first, do you want to use excel as other source? Use the data in excel in combination with the data in Sales Analytics for Dynamics Sales 365 that you mentioned?

If I understand correctly, I did a test using the example linked below for your reference:
I used Desktop to connect to the example's semantic model, and then imported the table from excel.

Sales Analytics for Dynamics 365 Sales (microsoft.com)

This will become a composite model, allowing writing measures that use fields from different data sources.

Here are some limitations and considerations:

For more information on composite models you can refer to the following link:

Hello again! I thought I have the solution, but now working with my Power BI and all the data from the D365 Sales I realized that not all the info of the CRM is on the POWER BI (I need some important information as weighted amount, sales cycle) that I can export to an excel but not into the Power BI data.

Is it a good idea to do an excel that refreshs automatically and take the info from there?
