"Between" Slicer

I am using a between slicer on my dashboard for dates. 

I am trying to average the Overall hours goal based on the dates selected in the slicer. I have tried so many different ways but nothing is helping.  Anything will help.

 This should be very simple. Not sure I understand wht you need

Create a measure:

Measure =
AVERAGE ( Table1[Overall Hours Goal] )
