I want to include subtotals, shown in grey, at each stage of the income statement calculation, from Revenue to Net Income.

Please help me with ideas on how to achieve this.

  • Import the dataset into Power BI.
  • Add the customized Simple Waterfall visual from the Get More Visuals option in the Visualizations pane.
  • Drag the Category column into the Category field & drag the Values column into the Values field.
  • Sort the Category column by the Rank column, this ensures the steps appear in the correct order.
  • Go to Format Visual > Define Pillars and enable only the Subtotals option & Adjust the Bar Colors as per your preference for better distinction between categories and subtotals, turn on the labels as well.
  • Here are the final output as mentioned in below screenshot.
