Visualize Quarter to Quarter inventory with created date and inactive date

I’m losing my mind! This is probably a simple solution but anyways..

I have a connected SharePoint list of a System Inventory with two dates: Date Created and Date Inactive

I have a separate date table that reflects fiscal quarters

I want to make a bar chart that shows count of active systems over the fiscal quarters.

How do I do this? I feel like I have tried everything with USERELATIONSHIP and CROSSFILTER but I keep failing miserably.

Hi,

Here is the pattern I usually use when I want to display count between active and inactive dates:

CountBetween =
var c_date = MAX('Calendar'[Date])
return
CALCULATE(COUNT(Table[ID]),
FILTER(Table,Table[StartDate]<=c_date &&
Table[EndDate]>=c_date))

I hope this post helps to solve your issue and if it does consider accepting it as a solution and giving the post a thumbs up!
