Hi all,
Not sure if I have overthought this, but is there a way to reference the values selected in the filter pane?
I'm looking to show a breakdown on client, while showing figures like total revenue. I know I can show this in two different tables, but I'd like to show them together and do any further calculations with them.
simple example:
SUM(revenue_of_all_clients) - SUM(revenue_of_filtered_client)
Thanks in advance for any help/clarification!

Hi,
any measure/value that you add to your report will take into account values from the filter pane unless you overrule the filter setting of a visual or table. So you would need an extra calculated measure to NOT take the filter into account.
In your simple example, you would need:
calculated measure =
var rev_all_clients = calculate(sum(revenue), all(Client[name]))
var rev_filtered_client = calculate(sum(revenue))
return
rev_all_clients - rev_filtered_client
