I want to track outstanding tasks per dataset source based on due date/status.
Sheet: Appended_DataSet
Data Set Source | Due Date | Status |
S1 | 16-Jul-23 | In Progress |
S2 | 1-Aug-23 | In Progress |
S3 | 17-Jul-23 | Completed |
What dax expression can I use with my appended data set to say something like this: In my appended DataSet, count the rows in column 'DataSet Source' and calculate the # of rows(tasks) that are past the 'due date' and are not 'completed' based on today's date - I ideally want to have them displayed on the visual cards. (In the data set above row 2 would be flagged as past due given today's date Jul 18) I hope you don't mind, I tagged a few users because I saw that you had much experience with the DAX expressions@Jihwan_Kim @OwenAuger @johnt75 thanks so much in advance!
Hi,
Please check the below picture and the attached pbix file.
expected result measure: =
VAR _today =
TODAY ()
VAR _t =
FILTER ( Data, Data[Due Date] > _today && Data[Status] <> "Completed" )
RETURN
COUNTROWS ( _t )
Hi @Jihwan_Kim thank you so much for your help! So i've done as you've suggested and though it does return a value - it seems to be an incorrect value. In the snip I attached you can see the status indicated Not Started (something other than Completed) and the Final Due Date is before today's date but all of these have not been flagged as outstanding -any advice?
outstanding measure
Dashboard outstanding item card with incorrect value
I also attached the replica of your example - thank you!!
