Totalytd with extra filter

Hello,

I would like to make a DAX formula for the TOTALYTD and a filter option. The standard formula is:

YTD Budget test = TOTALYTD([Budget], 'Date'[Date])

This gives the correct cummulative values per period.

The next formula I want to make a selection of a specific budget

YTD Budget test = TOTALYTD([Budget], 'Date'[Date], FILTER(Budgetfile, Budgetfile[cat] ="budget x"))

Now I get the the values per period for this budget instead of cummalive values.

What do I wrong?

@Anonymous , you can try datesytd too

YTD Budget test = calculate([Budget], datesytd('Date'[Date]), FILTER(Budgetfile, Budgetfile[cat] ="budget x"))

examples

YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD('Date'[Date],"12/31"))
Last YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year),"12/31"))

@Anonymous Maybe try:

YTD Budget test = CALCULATE(TOTALYTD([Budget], 'Date'[Date]), FILTER(Budgetfile, Budgetfile[cat] ="budget x"))
