I have 2 columns A and B, that is part of a table with multiple other columns. For example:
Column A | Column B | Column C | Column D |
2 | A | ... | ... |
4 | B | ||
4 | C | ||
4 | A | ||
4 | B | ||
1 | B | ||
5 | C | ||
3 | A | ||
3 | A |
Column A is a count of the occurences in Column B. How do I go about consolidating the total count of each unique value in Column B such that I end up with:
A | 12 |
B | 9 |
C | 9 |
My primary objective is to display a histogram of the unique values in Column B.

Hi @Nie ,
Couldn't you just be doing a SUM ( Table[Column A] ) ?
Here the DAX measure:
SumNumbersMeasure = SUM ( TableAB[Column A] )
Let me know if this helps 🙂

Thank you. Initially, I kept getting a single aggregate, and consequently a single bar. Your graph helped me realised I need to also slice the measure using the unique values in Column B in my histogram. Because the unique values in my Column B have multiple occurences, I somehow assumed simply summing couldn't work and I would need some special calculation. Thanks for clarifying.
