Summarize with Sumx

Hi, I am a new to Dax and struggling to achieve the below. Appreciate any help and advice:

I have a table with duplicates. I want to create a virtual table with Summarize with Sumx function as below

Virtual_Table = SUMMARIZE(SALES_TABLE,SALES_TABLE[ITEM],"SALES_AMT",SUMX(SALES_TABLE,SALES_TABLE[UNIT PRICE]*SALES_TABLE[QTY]))

Sales_Table (already in Power BI):

Desired Result:

However, I am getting this output:

@panatb Use this instead:

Virtual_Table =
  ADDCOLUMNS(
    SELECTCOLUMNS( SALES_TABLE, "ITEM", [ITEM] ),
    "SALES_AMT", [UNIT PRICE] * [QTY]
  )
