SelectedValue DAX formula not behaving as described in documentation

I've experienced a sudden change in the behavior of the SELECTEDVALUE() formula. It used to have the value of the row you selected in a table, but now returns BLANK(). You can see my measure SelectedValueUPCTest =: SELECTEDVALUE('Retail Item'[UPC]), and due to the context it should show the same as the 'Retail Item'[UPC] column for every row in this table but instead returns Blank(). Any ideas?

Hi @Anonymous

I cannot reproduce this issue using the following test data and measures:

TesttableTesttable

SelectedValueTestCol1 = SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[TestCol1])
SelectedValueTestCol1 = SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[TestCol1])

Results in this table visual:

I am on version 2.76.5678.782 64-bit (December 2019). Have you updated to the latest version?

Kind regards
