First, you have an issue with parenthesys YEAR function: YEAR(Sales[Date]=2014) is completely wrong statement
Second, try to use ALL() inside filter
Amount = SUMX (FILTER(ALL(Sales),YEAR(Sales[Date])=2014),Sales[Sales Amount])
do not hesitate to give a kudo to useful posts and mark solutions as solution
