Running Totals - no dates

hi all

how can i create a running total for this table?

the values need to reset at period 1 for each financial year, so they are cumulative from period 1 2021/22 to period 13 2021/22 and then start again at period 1 2022/23.

Hi,

I suggest to greate a "Date stamp" for each period which rappresent when the period end or start. Then you connect that date to your "Date Dim Table" (If you don't have one I will suggest you to create one as per best practice).

Then you can use the following time intelligence measure:

Measure =

 CALCULATE(

   Incidents[Incident_count],

  DATESYTD(Incidents[Period Ending],"13/01") (the 13/01 is just an example and it should be the last date of the fiscal year in the formai dd/mm)

    )
