I have a numbers column, I want to round up the numbers to the nearest 0.5
for example:
1.2 ----> 1.5
1.9---->2
0.6--->1
0.4---> 0.5
tried all the round function W/O any success,

I create a table as you mentioned.
Then I think you can use CEILING function and here is the document: CEILING function (DAX) - DAX | Microsoft Learn
So here is a new calculated column.
Column = CEILING('Table'[Number] * 2, 1) / 2
