Relative date slicer set to show last 12 months, but show also the future months in the chart

Hi,

I have a page where I have a relative date slicer ( can be set to last 12 months or last 6 months, however the user prefers).

However in one of the visuals I also want to display the future months, till the end of the current year (basically the forecast of this year).

Is this possible to do with DAX?

Hi @zazaalaza ,

According to your description, here are my steps you can follow as a solution.

(1) This is my test data.

(2) Edit Interaction.

(3) We can create a slicer table. This slicer is used to select the x months in the future you wish to display.

SlicerTable = GENERATESERIES(0,12,1)

(4) We can create a measure.

Flag =
var _future_month=SELECTEDVALUE('SlicerTable'[Value])
var _future_date=EDATE(TODAY(),_future_month)
var _the_end_of_the_current_year=DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),12,31)
RETURN IF(MAX('Table'[date])>= _future_date && MAX('Table'[date])<= _the_end_of_the_current_year,1,0)

(5) Place [Flag=1] on the visual object filter.
When the slicer selects 1, the visual object displays the dates on the visual object for the next month (i.e., 2024-2-24) of the current day (2024-1-24) until the end of the year (2024-12-31).

If the above one can't help you get the desired result, please provide some sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. Thank you.

Best Regards,
