Refresh Date/Time based on when a file on shared drive is updated?

I want to add a refresh/date to a dashboard based on when a manual Excel file is updated.   The file itself does not contain a date field (just a rolling MTD IE September 2023)...so I can't use a MAX formula.   Is there any way to show the last time the Excel file was updated in PBI either based off of the last save date or if the file changed?

Hello @paguy215 ,

On PowerQuery, when you use the Folder connector (instead of the Excel Workbook right away) you can access information from the file (Date of creation, date of modification, ect), before opening the file itself, if you want to keep everything in the same table.

Thanks!  I think what you're saying makes sense, this way I can just extract a modification date based on that and make a seperate calculation from there?   

not sure how I get to the 'folder location' in which you got your first screenshot, i can't seem to locate those dates/times...going to Power Query just gives me the Excel

On the "Get Data" I used the Folder Connection as you can see in the picture below. In my case i was using a random file on the "Downloads" folder, so I provided the path to that folder and filtered on the row representing the file in question.
