I have a matrix that shows data for the selected month.
However, the requirements has changed - the user would like to select a specific date, for which the data for the past week is displayed in our matrix.
How can I achieve this, given that I cannot drop a measure into the Columns section of the matrix?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Create a measure to capture the selected date from a slicer.
SelectedDate = SELECTEDVALUE('DateTable'[Date])
Create a measure to calculate the data for the past week based on the selected date.
PastWeekData =
CALCULATE(
SUM('YourTable'[YourDataColumn]),
DATESINPERIOD('DateTable'[Date], [SelectedDate], -7, DAY)
)
Add the date column from your date table to the Columns section of the matrix.
Add the PastWeekData measure to the Values section of the matrix.
