Percentage calculation

Dear all,

I hope my question is not too silly but unfortunately I haven´t found any solution for it, so far.

I have a column which shows a value "Sum A" which is formatted as decimal number. I need a calculation of 2% of this value. 

Therefore I added a new column (called "Spalte") into my table saying just "0,02" and added a measure (calles "Sum B") which multiplies "Sum A" by the "0,02" column. That works if I show the single projects that are related to the quantities, unfortunately the total sum and any other aggregation is not working.

I hope it is clear what I mean, does anyone have an idea how I can solve this? Many thanks in advance!

I already tried that before but I wrote 0,02 instead of 0.02 😅.

Now it is working.

@grasa Hi! The issue arises because when you multiply the values in "Sum A" by a fixed percentage (like 0.02) stored in another column, the measure works correctly on a row-by-row basis. However, when aggregating (like calculating the total sum), it does not behave as expected because the calculation is applied after aggregation rather than before.

So, remove the column "Spalte" and add a new measure:
Sum B = SUM('YourTable'[Sum A]) * 0.02

Use this measure in your table.
