Median of growth

Hi

I have created a measure for yoy sales growth brand wise.

Now from this measure i want to create another measure which will categorise each brand as high Based on the condition that if it's yoy growth is greater than median yoy growth of all brands, else it should be low

Note: data is at order level

Can anyone please guide me through this

I have written a daxc but i am not so confident about it-

Mediangrowth=medianx(table, table[growth]

Category=if(table[growth]>mediangrowth, high, low)

Hi @Sscb ,

Try it.

Measure_Mediangrowth = MEDIANX(ALL('Table'),'Table'[growth])
Measure_Category = IF('Table'[growth]>[Measure_Mediangrowth] ,"high","low")

If the above one can't help you get the desired result, please provide some sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. Thank you.

Hi @Sscb ,

According to your description, here are my steps you can follow as a solution.

(1) This is my test data.

vtangjiemsft_0-1688452974466.png

(2) We can create calculated columns.

Mediangrowth = MEDIANX('Table','Table'[growth])
Category = IF('Table'[growth]>'Table'[Mediangrowth],"high","low")

(3) We can create measures.

Measure_Mediangrowth = MEDIANX(ALL('Table'),'Table'[growth])
Measure_Category = IF(MAX('Table'[growth])>[Measure_Mediangrowth] ,"high","low")

Hi @v-tangjie-msft

Thanks for the response

So the thing is growth is also a measure, which is yoy growth.

Will this work there as well?

Hi @Sscb ,

Try it.

Measure_Mediangrowth = MEDIANX(ALL('Table'),'Table'[growth])
Measure_Category = IF('Table'[growth]>[Measure_Mediangrowth] ,"high","low")
