Hi,
I'm facing the same issue. I have tried all the recommended solutions but nothing worked.

  • I have converted the country code "SE" to "SWE" as well as replaced the value with the full country name "Sweden"
  • Tested all the Geocodes as suggested above.
  • I'm also on the latest Power BI version - Sept'23.

Is this a power BI map visual issue ? Any other work arounds I can try to fix this ? Please recommend.

If you are using Power BI Desktop and your data is a geographic dataset, it's possible that the country name in your data is not in the correct format for the map visualization. In some countries, the country name is written in a different format than the country code (for example, "Sweden" instead of "SE"). To fix this, you can try the following: Check the country name in your data and make sure it is in the correct format for the map visualization. If the country name is not in the correct format, you can try converting it to the correct format using a text editor or a tool like the "International Components for Unicode (ICU)" library. Once you have the correct country name in the format required by Power BI, try refreshing the map visualization to see if it now displays Sweden. Another thing to check is the regional settings of your Power BI report. By default, Power BI uses the regional settings of the device that you are using to open the report. If these settings are set to a different region, this could cause the country name to display incorrectly. Try updating the regional settings to match the region of your data.

Hi @MagikJukas ,

In your case, try to use "SWE" instead of "SE" for Sweden.
