I'm building an SSAS model for DirectQuery usage.
In it there's an organizational hierarchy I want to limit according to the logged on user.
I got some old books and knowledge about how to do this with a multidimensional cube and reporting services, but fail to find good information about how to do this with tabular mode/DAX and Power BI.
Any good resource to look up or some pointers anyone could give?
The dimension is as such:
All
- Department 1
-- Employee 1 (emp1@domain.com)
-- Employee 2 (emp2@domain.com)
- Department 2
-- Employee 3 (emp3@domain.com)
The requirement is that emp1@domain.com is supposed to see his/her own dimension member, Department 1 aggregated and All aggregated.
All pointers appreciated. 🙂

Looks spot on! Thanks!
Crossing my fingers I can do this in the SSAS model as well. 🙂
