KPI ony showing target for one week

I'm trying to do a KPI view that compares a value to a weekly budget.  I have the weekly budget loaded in one table and the source data loaded into another, and a calendar table to pull in the week ending date, which matches the week ending date in the budget file.

When I do the KPI, the budget shows a blank for every week except one week.    So if I choose that one week (in this case week ending 4-30-23) everything shows up perfectly.  If I choose any other week, the actual value shows but the budget shows up blank in the goal line.

Is there something I'm missing?  Ideally I would like the end user to be able to choose a week ending date in a slicer and the KPI visual would show the actual and the budget as the goal...right now it only works for one week which is stumping me.  No other filters are used in the page or report

Hi @paguy215 ,

It seems like the issue is with the relationship between the budget table and the source data table. You may need to check if the relationship is set up correctly and if the data types of the columns used in the relationship match.

You can also try using the RELATED function to retrieve the budget value from the budget table based on the week ending date in the source data table. This will ensure that the budget value is correctly retrieved for each week.

Finally, you can try using the SWITCH function to dynamically switch between the actual and budget values based on the week ending date selected in the slicer. This will allow the end user to choose a week ending date in the slicer and the KPI visual will show the actual and budget values accordingly.

Best Regards,

Stephen Tao
