Is there any method to avoid rebuilding excel pivot migrating from SSAS MOLAP Cube to Tabular Cube?

Dear Experts,

Please advise is there any method to migrate all our excel pivot reports (Live Connection Reports) from SSAS MOLAP Cube to SSAS Tabular Cube as we are moving Azure Anlaysis Service?

Hi @KoppulaPSR ,

I guess it could be because the current language is English (US), so it is not displayed in the available languages. Regarding this language issue, I would suggest you to seek professional Visual Studio technical support, who will give you more specialized advice.

Or you can consider Translations Builder to connect the model.

Hi @KoppulaPSR ,

1.You can use SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) or Power BI to import data from your existing SSAS MOLAP Cube to a new SSAS Tabular model. This process involves creating a new Tabular project and connecting it to your existing Multidimensional Cube.

2.Once you've migrated your data, you can use Excel to connect to the SSAS Tabular Cube. Follow these steps:
- Go to File > Data and select From Other Sources.
- Choose From Analysis Services and enter the server name and authentication details.
- Select the database (e.g., Adventure Works) and import the data to an existing worksheet.
- You can then create PivotTables, add dimensions, work with KPIs, and more.

Hello Neeko,

Thank you for your inputs, here i am looking for migration of existed excel report connected to MOLAP Cube to Tabular Cube. After i have tested with sample cubes, got to know if we manitain same attribute names in new cube, existed excel report will work with out any issues.

Now i am trying to rename my attribute names in new Tabular Cube to maintain same as MOLAP Cube by using "Translation" option. However, i don't see "English (United States)" as available. Am i missing something here?

Yes i have verifed. Here are the details.

My system Language set to ENG IN and i ma using SQL Server 2022 including Visual studio 2022. Not sure what exactly i am missing.

Moreover, i can see English (United States), when i connect my tabular cube from Tabular Editor instead Visual Studio 2022. Still confusion for me why VS 2022 unable to list English (United States)?
