Hi guys,
I encountered the following problem that I was unable to solve. I hope you can help me with this!
I created a Calculated Measure to count the number of Articles, based on the last available date. We have two channels through which we sell products: online (webshop) & offline (stores). However, I want the article count to be independent of the channel. The code looks like this:
#Assort. SKU's =
VAR MaxAvailableDate =
CALCULATE
(
MAX('DimDate'[List]);
ALLSELECTED('DimDate'[List]);
)
VAR Article Count =
CALCULATE
(
CALCULATE
(
DISTINCTCOUNT(MainFactPerformanceTable[ArticleNumber]);
ALL('DimOnline/Offline'[online/offline])
);
FILTER ( MainFactPerformanceTable; MainFactPerformanceTable[Date] = MaxAvailableDate);
ALL('DimOnline/Offline'[online/offline])
)
RETURN
Article Count
So the VAR MaxAvailableDate correctly returns the maximum date based on the users date selection, independent of any other filters selected. Next, the Article Count should return the distinct number of articles on that date. So far, so good. We have a filter for the Online/Offline channel slicer in the dashboard and I dont want it to influence my DAX measure; however whether I select Online / Offline does change the DAX Article count with the current code above.
When no option is selected in this slicer, the calculated measure returns the correct output. So in the DAX code above I tried to ignore filters by the DimOnlineOffline table by using the ALL function. That's the table with the Online or Offline dimension. However, that doesn’t seem to work either and the slicer still affects the output of the calculated measure. My question is, how can I effectively ignore filters by the DimOnlineOffline table?
