How to pass the slicer values back to table or store as column

Hello All, PowerBi newbie question here. 

I am using a slicer on a report that contains the dates (To & From) as filters on my report. (The report filters for all relevant data between these dates)

I need to retrieve these days to be able to calculate a production run rate based on the number days that were selected in the slicer 

Is there any way i can retrieve these days two dates this from the slicer using a measure or column ??

Any help would be appreciated

Hi,

You can't use a column since calculated columns are calculated when you load data to the model, not when the user selects something in the slicer.

In DAX measures you can count the number of days by using DISTINCTCOUNT('Table'[Date]).

First selected date: MIN('Table'[Date])

Last selected date: MAX('Table[Date])

You should be able to use MIN and MAX or MINX and MAXX to get the from and to dates selected in the slicer.
