How to determine number of checkbox slicer values selected

Hello ,

I am new to PowerBI and I intend to calculate the number of options checked/selected in the multiselect checkbox slicer.
I tried using DAX query to create custom measure to determine the same but it is not giving correct result.

DAX query for custom measure :

var selectedProducts= VALUES(TableName[ColumnName])
var countRowsProducts=COUNTROWS(selectedProducts)

Please note , checkbox is created using column : TableName[ColumnName]

When we use this custom measure with other columns of the table in table visual, on row level it gives incorrect value.
Shouldn't the value of this custom measure be same ( equal to the number of values selected in the checkbox )
for all rows of the table visual ?

Please assist.

Thanks
Deesha

Hi @deeskuma

the answer is no. The reason is that the table visual has its own flter context where VALUES is evaluated. In order to ignore this filter context you need to use ALLSELECTED

Thanks @tamerj1 !
ALLSELECTED worked well for my use case.
