How can I make sure that the filters on DAX do not get lost after renaming?

Tell me please There is a column "Aggregate name" in this column there are different names of signals. I don't like these names and I want to rename them, for this I use the SUBSTITUTE command.

Code:

Name of the units= SUBSTITUTE([Unit name],"DB signal ","Signal 1")

Let's say that at some point in time I want to rename it from "Signal 1" to "Signal 2" After renaming, the filters will go wrong

How can I make sure that the filters on DAX do not get lost after renaming?

Hi, @82186

As @DataDazzler said, dynamically replacing text in text format is not possible, and the current version doesn't support this feature. Is what you were told before renaming column names/DAX names? Or you can wrap the New Signal name into Measure for each change later on.

New Signal = "Signal 2"

Name of the units =
SUBSTITUTE ( [Unit name], "DB signal", [New Signal] )

Trying to change the values of a column with DAX is not a best practice. Try to solve it just with a transformation with Power Query. The case you want to do I think is not possible, as you can not use the renamed variable as a filter.

I tried it... the result is the same ... after renaming, everything gets lost I was told that it is possible so:

But I'd like to see the code.
