Help with below Visual DAX calculation

Hi, I have created one measure Custom YTD. I know its wrong but if someone could tell me why and how its calcualting those valuse in matrix i will get clear understaning of how clacluate behaves with initial filter context. Thanks in Advance.

The filter conditions you are using are overriding the filter on year from the filter pane and the filter on month from the visual, so in e.g. April you are calculating all sales which happened before the end of April 2018. To merge the filters rather than override them you would need to use KEEPFILTERS.
