Hi there,
It seems this is not possible from what I've read from previous posts, but worth an ask and see if there is a workaround.
I have the following slicer allowing the user to select a date range for the report:
The from or min date is actually blocked away from user view and will remain static. The 'to' date currently opens at the latest date available where there is data.
How can I have the report open with the 'to' date showing today's date?

Hi @julesdude
I think its achievable.
I would first create a date table (column name is "Date") and connect with the fact table. Then use the "Date" column from calendar table as slicer.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
AnthonyJoseph
Thanks for the response! I'm not sure I understand the solution though.
I do already have a calendar table I create - created in Power Query with MDX. And my chain of thought was I was thinking of using the Calendar table as the slicer rather than the date column of another table that features the values in the report.
I was thinking I could maybe add a custom column to my dedicated Calendar table which enters a marker against the row that displays today's date, and somehow reference this in the slicer viz filter.
Hi @julesdude
my bad I misunderstood your question earlier. Yes, from what you are saying I don't think we can default a value to slicer in date range.
Thanks,
AnthonyJoseph
@julesdude , I doubt you can default date in case of range base slicer
