HI Team, could you pls help this requierement

I have a table containing country, sales, and date columns. I need to create a separate calculated table that groups countries under the APAC region, specifically combining Japan and Korea into a single entry. Additionally, I want to display Japan and Korea separately, based on the data from the previous month and the current month.

apac total(all counties)
japan+korea
japan
korea

Calculated Table DAX Formula:

APAC Sales Summary =
VAR CurrentMonth = EOMONTH(TODAY(), 0)
VAR PreviousMonth = EOMONTH(TODAY(), -1)

RETURN
UNION(
ROW("Region", "APAC Total (All Countries)", "Sales",
CALCULATE(SUM('SalesTable'[Sales]),
'SalesTable'[Country] IN {"Japan", "Korea", "Other_APAC_Countries"})),

ROW("Region", "Japan + Korea", "Sales",
CALCULATE(SUM('SalesTable'[Sales]),
'SalesTable'[Country] IN {"Japan", "Korea"})),

ADDCOLUMNS(
FILTER('SalesTable',
'SalesTable'[Country] = "Japan" &&
'SalesTable'[Date] IN {CurrentMonth, PreviousMonth}
),
"Region", "Japan"
),

ADDCOLUMNS(
FILTER('SalesTable',
'SalesTable'[Country] = "Korea" &&
'SalesTable'[Date] IN {CurrentMonth, PreviousMonth}
),
"Region", "Korea"
)
)

💌 If this helped, a Kudos 👍 or Solution mark would be great! 🎉
Cheers,

Hi @tkavitha911

  • Create a calculated table with:

    1. A combined entry for "Japan & Korea" showing sales for the previous month and current month.
    2. Separate entries for Japan and Korea showing their individual sales for the same periods.
  • Steps:

    1. Use the UNION function to merge two parts:
      • A row for "Japan & Korea," combining their sales using CALCULATE with filters.
      • Individual rows for Japan and Korea, filtered by month.
    2. Use CALCULATE to compute sales for the previous and current months.

The result:
A table with three rows—one for "Japan & Korea," one for Japan, and one for Korea—displaying sales for both months.
