Grouping Measures in a Matrix Tabe

I have created a number of measures which are calculating a variety of things fro MIN/MAX/average etc but i want to be able to group these measures into categories that don't exist in my dataset. so for example i want to have a category for each following;

Sales

Sales weight

Top 5 Inst

I have 4 or 5 measures for each of these categories, but as the measures overlap at points i am unable to find a way to group these. I saw people point to tabular editor but thats not an option
