Future planning total vacancies

Hello,

I have some vacancy data, and I have the current and past 12 months total vacancies.

I have been tasked with projecting/planning the next 12 months, etc., using the current attrition rate (from the past data) to demonstrate a forecast plan on how this will increase our current vacancy rates?

I'm hoping this is relatively straightforward with a time intelligence function, but would like a steer on the correct route?

Many thanks in advance 🙏

Hi , @Lee_North

According to your description, you want to get the forcasting data for your data . Right?

As researched , we can get the forcasting data in the "Line Chart" visual in Powr BI.

You can refer yo this document, it may help you :

Hi Aniya, it wasn't a forecast, my boss was looking for, I would like to project of the current vacancies based on the current attrition rate, as I will need to add a couple of other variables, like, scheduled progression dates on staff - do you know if there is a way of doing this in Power BI or query?

Hi , @Lee_North

Based on your description, I am not very clear about the business logic and results you want.

Do you mean implementing merge tables in Power Query or adding new columns based on other tables?

If this , you can refer to :
How To Merge Queries In Power BI | Enterprise DNA

For your questions, you can also use the form of a table to briefly list your sample data, and show us the data you want to get in the form of a table, so that we can better help you.

Aniya Zhang
