Formatting issues

Hi, when creating a measure, some instances I am unable to have the option to select the format of my measure, in particular, I want to have zero decimal places as shown below. Is it because the numerator and denominator both have differring formats so it confuses Power BI when they are used in a new meausre via DIVIDE DAX?

kind regards

Hi @arniet ,

You are trying to return an integer and a string value in the same Measure.

Try Like this measure

Net Sales per order = Divide ( [MTD Curr [Net Sales] , [MTD Curr] , BLANK())

That could be an issue with the latest version of PBI, I have also faced a couple issues in June release that were not in the previous versions. Try switching applications and it might get unfreezed.

"unfreezed" does not exist in English. Please use unfrozen. Thanks.

@Anonymous  Thank you for pointing out a grammatical error on a PBI forum.

Dear @AntrikshSharma.

No need to be sarcastic. Even on a PBI forum it pays to be correct.

The ultimate goal is to make sure the user's query is resolved, language is just a bridge to ensure that communication is done properly, if a group of people decide that the new synonym is unfreezed soon it will be accepted worldwide, I have studied English since first day at school, but still it is impossible to remember tense for each word, when I come online I try to solve 5-10 questions and in that time frame I can't pay heed to my English. I am sure the OP understood what I meant by unfreezed 🙂

Interestingly, I have not studied English since my first day at school but I almost always get it right (without paying any heed to it as I type) and solve not fewer problems than you. But I really don't have time to enlarge upon why proper English is a good-to-have skill. You do as you please.
