Hopefully someone can help me with this. I have a report that has a date slicer. The opening balance card visual is a calculated measure representing the balance at the start of the month. In this example, the date slicer is set to Aug 1 - Aug 31 2015, and the opening balance of $4,588.12 is based on the opening balance on Aug 1st.
The end user would like to be able to click on "see breakdown" which would navigate them to another page on the report and they can see the data that makes up the opening balance amount. The issue I'm having is that the opening balance amount is essentially all the data prior to the start range on the date slicer which in this example would be everything before Aug 1st.
So, does anyone know how to filter a table visual to show only data prior to the start range of the date slicer?
When the end user clicks 'see breakdown' on the opening balance visual, it will navigate them to another page that should show the data making up the opening balance. This should be everything prior to Aug 1st.
Hi @techtina
Have you tried using STARTOFMONTH to get the 1st date of a month as a filter on your calculated measure?
