Hi Team,
I want to run below dax code for different measures. Currenlty, measure value is repeating for all rows. Can you please tell how to evaluate below measure dynamically (similar to dynamic sql)
EVALUATE
VAR MeasureName = 'Sales'[Total Sales]
VAR Sales =
SELECTCOLUMNS(
SUMMARIZECOLUMNS
(
'Product'[Product Name],
"Total Sales", MeasureName
),
"DimensionValue",'Product'[Product Name] ,
"MeasureValue",[Total Sales],
"MeasureName","Total Sales",
"DimensionName", "Product Name")
RETURN
Sales
Thanks,
Abhiram

Hi @abhiram342
Don't store the measure in a variable
EVALUATE
SELECTCOLUMNS (
SUMMARIZECOLUMNS (
'Product'[Product Name],
"Total Sales", 'Sales'[Total Sales]
),
"DimensionValue", 'Product'[Product Name],
"MeasureValue", [Total Sales],
"MeasureName", "Total Sales",
"DimensionName", "Product Name"
)

Hi @tamerj1 - thank you ! WithOut variable it works as expected but I was looking how to excute using variable. I want to pass variable name as parameters in power bi report so that I can reuse Dax code
Thanks,
Abhiram
Hi @abhiram342
Variables are evaluated only once. This cannot be achieved at least not this way.
