Dynamic Formatting for Y-axis is incorrect for stacked column chart

Hello,

I ma having an ongoing issue with dynamically formatting values, but for the y-axis I haven't been able to find a workaround. The overall issue is that all numbers in the report need the billions need to be formatted "#.## B" instead of PBI's default "#.## bn".

So far I have managed this by creating measures and using switch statements in the dynamic formatting to format to whatever it should be K, M, or B.

I have a few of these measures stacked up in a stacked column chart, but the problem is that the axis is inheriting the formatting of the first value (#.## M) instead of the other/higher values that are formatted #.## B.
Here is an example: notice that the total and the axis values have inhereited the format of the bottome value (millions), even though the other values are in the billions.

I've been able to adjust the total by using a stacked bar and line chart and using a dynamically formatted value of the total on the line. The problem with this approach is that while it works for formatting the total, the y-axis stays the same.

The closest solution ive found is to use this bar+line method, and replace the y-axis with the line-y-axis. visually it looks fine UNTIL you need to zoom.... which I will need to. in the actual data im working with the smaller number is actaully much smaller, and not visible unless zoomed in on. Also, even if all three values are the same, I still need the y-axis to be in the format of the "Total", not one of any of the individual values. (if the 4 values are 500m, 700m 900m, 800m) I would need the y-axis to show in billions as the total is 2.9B , in that case)

Hi,@RJW

Thanks for letting us know your user experience.  According to your case description, I do understand how frustrated you are now.

Nevertheless, according to our measured results, I feel regretful to inform you that it turns out to be a by-design one.

At the moment, the relevant way to change the unit that I have found is the location as shown below:
