Dot plot graph: Chronological arrangement of the values

Hi guys 🙂

I need your help again 🙈 There ist the picture of dot plot graph. As you can see the values (years) on the x-axis are so random but I need a chronological arrangement of the values on the x-axis. Any ideas how to get it? Thank you very much!

Best regards

@Anonymous  first question, are you using a date table or the native dates within your datasource?  If you're not using a date table, I highly recommend it.  Here's the one I use from RADACAD along with an amazing write up on it: RADACAD - Date Table

Secondly, if you use the data table from RADACAD or any other calendar table, under the "Data" tab on the left of BI Dekstop, go to your calendar table and select the column(1) you will be using in the X-axis and then click the sort(2) column another column (whichever one works for you, typically it's the date column.

Alternatively, you can try to hover the visual, click the 3 dots ... and sort that way, sometimes that doesn't always work
