Does Excel support SummarizeColumns yet?

I know as of a few years ago Excel still did not fully support summarize columns, but has that changed or are there any plans for it to change?

It is available in excel, refer to https://dax.guide/summarizecolumns/ for checking the version/product on which a particular function works.
