In trying to display balances per category based on user input threshold values.
In the above scenario,
High Rate Threshold = Rate Multiplier * Avg Rate
I'm trying to display Balances which have 'Rates' above 'high rate threshold'.
To achieve this, I've used following DAX expression:
Balance Above Threshold = CALCULATE(SUM(Sheet1[Balance]), FILTER(Sheet1,Sheet1[Rate]>[High Rate Threshold]))
But this doesn't seem to be working correctly. Please let me know what modifications do I need to make to the DAX expression or any alternate approach.

Hi, @Anonymous , you might want try this measure,
Balance Above Threshold =
VAR __th = [High Rate Threshold]
RETURN
CALCULATE ( SUM ( Sheet1[Balance] ), Sheet1[Rate] > __th )
Thanks to the great efforts by MS engineers to simplify syntax of DAX! Most beginners are SUCCESSFULLY MISLED to think that they could easily master DAX; but it turns out that the intricacy of the most frequently used RANKX() is still way beyond their comprehension! |
DAX is simple, but NOT EASY! |
