DAX time intelligence functions for data on monthly level.

Hello,

I have some data which is calculated on a montly basis. That is the Timestamp of the Data is YearMonthNumber (YYYY.MM).  I also have created a measure that calculates the ratio of two of my colums (Col A/ColB). Both Colums are summed over div. Produkts.

That means the Table has more or less the following structure:

YearMonthNumber | Produkt | Value A | Value B

Now to my problem, how can I create a second measure that basically calculates the same measure but not for the current month but the previuos one.

@BertilB , One way is to create date using YYYYMM

Date = Date(left([YearMonthNumber],4)  , right([YearMonthNumber],2) ,1)

and then use time intelligence with help from date table joined to this date

MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD('Date'[Date]))
last MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,MONTH)))
last month Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),previousmonth('Date'[Date]))
MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD('Date'[Date]))

last year MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-12,MONTH)))
Previous year Month Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),previousmonth(dateadd('Date'[Date],-11,MONTH)))

Year behind Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year))
Year behind Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR('Date'[Date]))

Or create a table with YYYYMM, YYYY, MM and join bach with your table and have month rank
